TIME FOR WAVES – SURFBREAK PROTECTION AROUND THE WORLD | Juanjo González Trueba (Spain) will present the latest international sustainable development and wave protection programs held by the NGO Time For Waves.

CREATORS & INNOVATORS | Massi Martini (Italy), America’s Cup Yacht Project Manager and Designer will show how some of the latest technologies from the sailing industry can be applied into surfing. And also some of his handcrafted eco-surfboards.

We will soon confirm more creators.

A few beers will do the rest.

·Guests, surfers and festival goers will enter for free until capacity is reached.

09: 00 Welcome and Registration for participants and families.

10: 00 Single Fin & Twin Fin Sessions
Surf sessions with original surfboards over 30 years and replicas. There will be Twinfins, Bonzers and Experimentals. And others with Single Fins, single keel surfboards.

10: 00h. Shred Your Shape by Vissla – Pro and Amateur Division
Simultaneously to the Single Keel and Retro sessions, for the 1st time ever VISSLA is inviting Pro and Amateurs Shapers to come shred their shape during an event! Everyone who has ever shaped a board can enter the Pro or Am Division of the contest.

Pro Division
In the Pro Shapers Division, Creators & Innovators will ride a craft they shaped themselves inspired by the late 60’s to 90’s time period and will be judged on a mix of performance and style. We will announce promptly the pro shapers from different countries and continents that will battle to win 1 000 € prize money.

Amateur Division
However Amateurs won’t be forgotten as it will be open to anyone that has ever shaped a surfboard, with the only condition being that you must ride your own board. If you have ever shaped a board, come on down and show us what you can do on it! If you have made at least 50% of the board you surf, you are welcome to enter our Amateur Division. So to all the backyard shapers and one time rippers, come and join us, it’s the perfect occasion to grab 500€ in cash in the surfing event and 100 € for the best board (judged by the Pro Shapers).

19: 00h Big Kahunas – Surfers over 50 teaching how to rip on their first surfboards.

19:30h.Estrambotika Expression Session

World Championship of experimental prototypes. All type of experimental surfboards will be allowed. From planks and alaias, to softboards and the newest asymmetric boards. Classic and progressive surf is allowed. Harder to ride the board the be better will be scored.

Non-profit-association “OLAS SIN BARRERAS” supported by the SPECIAL SURF SCHOOL will give a surf lesson to a group of a local NGO Down syndrome children.

Retro Grommets – Free session with Retro surfboards grommets Under 14 (35min)

12:00.Tag Teams Families
Tag team relay of surfer families. Up to three generations of the same family surfers will star in this session where they will face with the cream of European family surfing.

The cool kids of the beach dress up quirky and original for a fun surf. In our usual “back to the future”, we reward the psychedelic attire and a more classic 60-70’s. Know the rules of evidence x computers.

Prize giving and tombola – Prizes from partners: Vissla, King Millenium, Mango Surf House, Enjoy Your Surroundings, Miller, MW, Ahau, Macho Fins and other brands to put the icing on the cake. Giving away precious surfboards, longskates, sunglasses among other prizes to the winners of the most emblematic evidence of the festival,such as to Maldives and the Mentawais to the best riders of the most important heats of the contests.

Other Activities:

During the festival there will be some parallel activities such as surfboards exhibitions, live DJ’s, environmental, art, … and many other things we don’t want to reveal yet.
