In 2006 we started creating a new event concept avoiding conventionality and competition use. Committed to bringing together the pioneers and families of surfing life, and focusing on the culture of surfing, the environment, the retro boards and music as a thread.

This surfer celebration of the summer solstice, became the first festival of the European season for the last 10 years. And the support of Billabong was key to grow from the national to the international scene. Today is a benchmark that has participants from different corners of the planet: Professional surfers get together with the retro surf lovers, families, surfing legends, gromets, mermaids, artists, shapers and rockaholics and influential characters of the surf culture from different generations.

In this eleventh edition Cosmic Children crew takes a new direction with its festival, with new players and fresh ideas.

We will be eternally grateful to Billabong and we want to make special to Sam Carrier and Dani Garcia, as well as other great professionals like Craig Sage, Carl Weisser, Reid Pinder, Rafa Vilallonga, Carmen Sainz, Dave Rastovich and many others.

Gracias, gracias y mil gracias a Billabong, este icono y referente del sector, por los 10 añitos de apoyo, ilusión y compromiso con este sueño compartido que comenzó en 2006.

Hace algo más de 10 años comenzamos con una apuesta arriesgada creando un nuevo concepto de evento que huía de los convencionalismos y la competición al uso. Apostamos por reunir a los pioneros y las familias del surf de toda la vida, enfocándonos en la cultura del surfing, el medio ambiente, las tablas antiguas y la música como hilo conductor.

Esta celebración surfera del solsticio de verano, inaugura la temporada europea cada año, y gracias al apoyo de Billabong, lo que comenzó pisando fuerte dentro del panorama nacional, hoy en día es un referente que cuenta con participantes de distintos rincones del planeta. La mayoría surfistas profesionales, personajes influyentes o referentes de la cultura surf, y amantes del surf retro de distintas generaciones, que no dudan en repetir, pues cada año damos un giro de tuerca a un formato que rompe lo convencional.

En esta XI edición el equipo Cosmic Children toma un nuevo rumbo con su festival, dando un golpe de timón para comenzar una nueva andadura en la que se embarcarán nuevos compañeros de viaje. No sin antes agradecer eternamente todo el esfuerzo y trabajo que durante todo este tiempo nos ha brindado una de las grandes de la glisse como Billabong. Pues la marca australiana confió en nosotros desde los inicios apostando por un formato diferente y más participativo.

Queremos hacer una mención y agradecimiento especial a su “dream team” entre los que destacamos a Sam Carrier y Dani García, así como otros grandes profesionales como Craig Sage, Carl Weisser, Reid Pinder, Rafa Vilallonga y Carmen Sainz.
